Trey Nyoni has expressed confidence in his Liverpool future after making an encouraging start under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

Iraola sent Nyoni on ahead of Ryan Gravenberch in the 71st minute during Liverpool’s 1–0 win at Bournemouth, signalling faith in the England Under-20s international. Speaking to the club’s matchday programme, Nyoni said: “At the minute I’ve been playing as a six, so I assume that’s the role that he probably sees me playing the most.”
He added that Iraola’s aggressive, forward-thinking approach suits his strengths. “Everything out of possession is important,” Nyoni said. “The best way to attack is starting with the press, which is important.”
