Dele Alli has been offered the chance to train with League Two outfit Barnet as the former Tottenham midfielder continues his search for a new club.
Alli, now 30, has not played competitively since March 2025, when he was sent off nine minutes into his Como debut. He was released by the Italian club after that sole appearance and has since been without a club, though he has continued posting training clips on social media.
Barnet manager Dean Brennan confirmed that Alli is using the club’s rented facilities and said the door is open for him to train with the squad. “If I do a Harry Redknapp and pull him back in, like (Paolo) Di Canio, no issue whatsoever,” Brennan told talkSPORT. “Everyone deserves a second chance in life. At our football club we have lots of lads that train with us that are out of contract and if Dele wants to come train with us the doors are open.”
The unbeaten League Two leaders sit top of the table after seven matches. Alli’s last competitive goal came in January 2023 whilst at Besiktas.
